Email on your website
On your website you will probably have a Contact-Us page or email links that viewers of your site can click on to email you. That can be a bad idea because if your email is displayed on your site somewhere you may start getting spam in fairly short order. There are programs that spammers use to find email addresses to send spam to that look through websites for generally active email addresses.
We have been using aliases to our real email addresses so they can be changed periodically on the website and in your email alias settings. When you start getting spam, simply change the email alias and the website address to reflect the new alias. Anyone coming to your website gets the current alias and everything works out fine. Spam stops until they find your new alias.
